Kareena and Saif were spotted together at restaurant

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan continue to be an item. The duo was out and about in the suburbs on Saturday evening. After a long discussion, they walked in together (almost hand-in-hand) at the VIP lounge of a popular Chinese restaurant. Like most celebrity couples, they seemed to be extremely comfortable with each other, say onlookers.

A guest present at the restaurant says, “They were behaving like a couple. They were lost in some discussion and were completely oblivious about their surroundings and onlookers.”

Once at their table, the duo who was accompanied by friends Dino Morea and Amrita Arora, sat very close to each other.

Kareena and Saif also indulged in some serious PDA. Saif kept hugging her throughout the evening, and they left together. A restaurant staff informs, Kareena and Saif were spotted together at a suburban restaurant over the weekend. Saif kept hugging and complimenting her all evening “Kareena seemed to be distressed and Saif was consoling her. He was often complimenting and hugging her. Their friends also took care to give them the much-needed privacy.” Kareena and Saif, were dressed in casual tees and denims, and were engaged in a conversation with the occasional remark, ‘Yeah, you are right!’ meant for the rest seated with them at the table. Kareena and Saif got along well on the sets of Tashan and ever since they have spending a lot of time with each other. However, Kareena is maintaining a stoic silence over her relationship with Shahid Kapur who is currently filming in Toronto. A source close to Kareena says, “Kareena and Saif are extremely fond of each other and the duo are spending a lot of time with together. She has also been vocal about Saif’s good nature to a few of us.”

Deepika Padukone to try her hand at comedy

Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ is about to hit the screens and the lady is all too excited about it. Now, Deepika is all set to do a full-fledged comedy film with Sajid Khan. The film is titled ‘Houseful’ and with this film, Deepika will get her first taste with comedy.

About ‘Houseful’, Deepika says, “My role in the film is not about just a few comic scenes here and there. It’s a total comic role. I wonder how I’ll manage it. Magar main koshish karoongi. Sajid has a great sense of humour and I will go by his vision. Besides, if my director has so much confidence in me, then I just cannot let him down.”

Deepika padukone has no qualms about the fact if the audience will take to seeing a funny Deepika. She answers defiantly, “I do have a sense of fun and I plan to have a ball of a time doing HOUSEFUL. See, I am a reserved person in real life, but that does not mean that I can’t be funny for the camera.” Now we wonder if that actually works.

Kajol on Cover of M - Looking Awesome

She has taken all efforts to get back on shape and her efforts have paid or so it seems as she poses with her killer looks for the cover page of ‘M’, a lifestyle and luxury magazine for men.

On the other hand, Kajol too is impressed with the outcome and says that she had a great fun reaching out for different looks of both classic and contemporary. She earnestly thanks Jatin Kampani for getting her sported attractively.

Kajol adds, “It was great fun to shoot and to see how far you can go. It’s great working with Jatin Kampani. I think he can make anybody look good, even me.”

The magazine features one big actress a year on their cover who are generally strong, independent, successful ones. While they shot with Tabu last year; for the February 2009 issue they shot with Kajol. They loved her picture so much that they decided to use it and the interview for the January issue instead. Kajol, too, was also very accommodating during the shoot. Though she is known to be difficult, when she was shooting the lights went off but she did not complain.

Horn Ok Pleassss’ - A truck drivers unique tale

The protagonist of the film could easily be termed as a ‘pro-love- gonist! Govinda (Nana Patekar) plays the central theme role, his own life’s theme works only around ‘love’. Bunty Sajdeh is the new man in Sushmita Sen’s life

There’s a new man in Sushmita Sen’s universe if reports are to be believed. And the name’s Amit, Amit Sajdeh, aka Bunty Sachdev, more famous as fashion designer Seema Khan’s (who is married to actor Sohail Khan) brother. But the plot thickens. Bunty is also supposedly engaged to Mumbai businessman Shashi Chaddha’s daughter Neha. So, who is this Bunty’s Babli - Sushmita or Neha?

“I really don’t want to comment on my personal life. Neha’s not part of the industry. She’s in Spain right now and she doesn’t like all this. Anyway, why would people want to read about Neha and me? We are nobodies! I am known for the people I manage due to my work,” exclaims Bunty, who handles athlete and celebrity endorsements for tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi’s company.

And what about Sushmita then? “I have been travelling extensively with Sushmita of late and people have been getting the wrong idea. I manage her endorsement deals and she really trusts me with her work. But I’m definitely not involved with her. We are very good friends and I have known her for many years and we work very well together,” says the 29-year-old who was earlier romantically associated with actresses Dia Mirza and Neha Dhupia. “I have been linked with half the women I have worked with! I was seeing Dia for a good two-and-half years and contrary to reports, Neha (Dhupia) didn’t come between Dia and me,” he explains.

Bunty’s parents, Arun and Kiran Sajdeh, shuttle between Jakarta, Indonesia and Mumbai and are in the garment export business.

Preity Zinta making it to the Top

Preity Zinta has never shied from a battle, especially when it meant fighting injustice. But now, the perky actress admits she has mellowed down. “I have become much calmer now. I guess I am more relaxed.

But even if I’m quiet for more than ten minutes, people will come up and ask me if I am okay They are all so used to me being this hyper person!” she says.

The effervescent star is extremely proud of her. “I have not had affairs with people to make it here. I have not done one wrong thing technically to succeed. I have not tried to contrive or walk over other’s feet. I think that is my biggest crown. I would be more worried about what my colleagues or people who know me would say than what my audiences say about me,” she says.

Always so cheerful, one would think she never gets bogged down by problems. She disagrees. “My theory in life is the only way to go is up. I do feel very down when I am faced with something that I cannot help. But I try to collect myself and pull myself up. I keep telling myself that others’ opinion about me will differ, but it shouldn’t matter as long as I know myself. I would look at every adversity as an opportunity.”

But there is something that gets even her depressed. “If my mum is upset with me, I am shattered. She is the only family I have and if she is not happy with me, even if I win an Oscar I would not be happy.”

Preity thinks she is secure because she comes from a secure family. “I think your upbringing matters a lot. No amount of stardom can give you security. You can be secure only by the love and attention that you got as a child. I also believe that when you get married it should be forever, at least for your children’s’ sake.

A family should be a complete unit. You cannot make a child face the trauma of a broken home and expect it to be normal. I am not being judgmental here, but I refuse to understand an extra-marital affair. Once you have a child, you do not have the right to be selfish. I think people coming from smaller towns are more secure because their whole world is consolidated in their family.”

Yana Gupta wants to get arty

After her Babuji number in Dum, people expected to see more of Yana Gupta in Bollywood. However, she hasn’t achieved a lot of popularity in the film world. Yana says, “I went through a time when I was showered with many offers. But I wanted to lie low. I would put the blame on myself as I was saying no to the things coming my way. Nothing was creatively satisfying for me. Frankly, heroines today don’t mind just being the glam dolls in films. I don’t desire to be that. I am passionate about creativity and want to connect with people who are like me.” But doesn’t it bother her contemporaries have zoomed ahead? “I need to connect myself with stuff that is creative. I have a feeling my first film as an actor will be an art film,” she says.

The Junior Bachan Couple to Star in Farhan Akhtar's new Production

The news is that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have signed another movie together. The movie will be produced by none other than Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s ‘Excel Entertainment’.

It is said that Boman Irani has also been signed up for an important role in the film.while other cast has not been decided. Abhinay Deo will direct the film. This will be the Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s sixth films together.

The film will go on floor in June 2009. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have already worked together Umrao Jaan, Kuch Na Kaho and Guru. They are also doing upcoming film Ravana and the remake of Abhimaan.

it is said that Abhishek and Aishwarya were keen to go for an image makeover and therefore they finalized this film. The title name of the film has not decided and the film will be a fast paced thriller.

Sameera Reddy follows Sanjay Gupta

There have been reports from over a month that Sameera Reddy is making a conscious effort from her side to get back to her former beau Sanjay Gupta. However, Gupta who is right now pretty keen on getting back with his exwife Anu, is not interested in having Sameera back in his life.

It has been learnt that a few weeks back, Gupta was in Goa to scout for locations for his film Alibaug and was staying at Casa Anjuna hotel. One day, Sameera suddenly landed up at the hotel where Gupta was put up, and let it be known that she wanted to get back with him. However, Gupta made it clear that he wanted to have nothing to do with her. They stayed together for a day and they also went back to Mumbai in the same flight.

A hotel staff, working in Casa Anjuna, confirms the news saying, “Yes Sanjay Gupta was staying in our hotel in April for a few days. We believe that he was here to hunt for locations for one of his new films. Sameera checked into our hotel a day before Sanjay Gupta was supposed to leave. We saw them going out for dinner and they were also spotted together having an early morning breakfast before checking out of the hotel.”

The hotel manager of Casa Anjuna neither confirmed nor denied the news. He
simply said, “Mr. Gupta is a regular at the Casa group of hotels and one of our VIP clients. Their privacy is of paramount importance to us.”

Sanjay Gupta refused to comment on the issue too, when we contacted him. He said, “I do not want to talk about it.”

Sameera Reddy, in her turn, denied the news. She said, “From my understanding, Sanjay Gupta is happily settled with his wife and these stories only create misunderstanding. They are wonderful people…”

Sushmita Sen may be seen playing a cartoon character

Sushmita Sen is looking slim ‘n’ svelte for all the wrong reasons. “I first had a viral infection and then I had a relapse. But I am feeling better now. However, it sure did my mind good - lying in bed, I thought about how my life was going. That’s when I decided to work harder and with serious passion. I am a person full of energy and lying in bed really doesn’t suit me. In fact it was more challenging than a role,” Sush says.

However, now she has another viral patient in the family. “Renee is now down with viral,” she says, looking a tad worried. Talking about her eight-year-old daughter brings out the proud mother in Sush. “She is a very understanding human being. It is not easy being Sushmita Sen’s daughter. There have been times when other kids in the school say that she is adopted and she does not have an ‘original’ mommy. But she turns around and says, ‘I am so cool. You all were born from the stomach and I was born from the heart.’ I am sure these things must have hurt her, but she is a very mature and brave girl,” she says.

And does Renee have any comments on her star mother? “Always! For instance, she hated Vaastu Shastra. She said I looked very bad in the film and I should not do such movies. And the way she loves cartoons, you may see me as a cartoon character in a film soon,” Sush laughs.

Cartoon characters apart, what does Sushmita’s film kitty look like? “There are loads of films. I will be seen in Durga’s shoes in RGV’s Aag. And then there is Dulha Mil Gaya, in which I play Shimmer. This character is just like me, only her name is different. I have never looked so glamorous,” she says.

And then, she is off to do her dream role. “Next year, I will be in China shooting Rani Lakshmibai. I have cribbed about so many roles - either the scene was not right or my lines were not good. As I didn’t want anybody to mess with this role, I decided to produce it myself. I have done thorough homework on her and I am fascinated by what I learnt. The film will be ready by 2009,” she explains.

Till date I haven’t faced anything of this sort so I really don’t know whether it exists or not. Whether it was modelling or films, professionals have been handling my career. Touchwood, all the people that I met have been really sweet.

On her middle-class upbringing
My dad is a government servant and my mom is a homemaker. Both of them have instilled ethical values in me and I am proud of this fact. Of course, if it comes to attending the parties as a part of my job, I will certainly do it. But there’s no question of me doing drugs, or sleeping around just because it is done.

On being a hip girl
I have played the role of a hip girl in my film and I really identify with her. Being a 21st century gal, I can’t be expected to get bogged down by the ghunghat. I am not a salwar-kameez or a saree girl.

On the sexiest stars
The sexiest male star has got to be Hirithik Roshan. He’s got the looks, the feel, the entire persona. As far as actresses go, Bipasha is the best of them all. She’s so elegant, so strong, has a gorgeous bod and so much of talent. That’s a lethal combination. But if you want to know my biggest crush, it is Enrique Iglesias. He really drives me crazy.

Aaj Tak declares Rab Ne as the best film of the year

Aaj Tak channel has launched her own awards with the start of the new year, which is based on the votes of the viewers.

Based on the votes recieved, the channel voted, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as the best flick of the year. They also awarded the best debut award to Anushka Sharma and again gave top honors to Rab Ne, by awarding Aditya Chopra as the best director of the year.

When Anushka was informed about the laurel, she says, . “It is honour enough to work with Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan and the entire Yash Raj Films team. To win any kind of recognition on top of that is just icing on the cake. I hope that my subsequent work will live up to the expectations that viewers have of me after this kind of a stellar launch that Yash Raj Films has given me.”

Shilpa Shetty is in love with Raj Kundra

After six months of living in denial, Shilpa Shetty and UK-based NRI entrepreneur Raj Kundra have come out in the open with their relationship. “I’m not denying it’s him (Raj) but I hope when this comes out, it doesn’t frighten him off,” Shilpa said on the New Year’s eve. And, no, this isn’t her resolution to come clean on all controversies this year, but as Shilpa’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar said, “Things have changed. The relationship has blossomed and matured with time. They were friends before. Now they’re a couple.”

Raj is responsible for the launch of Shilpa’s perfume. He is also the force behind her musical stage shows. Raj, who finances and produces movies, had presented the Jimmy Sheirgill-Kay Kay Menon starrer Strangers which released a few weeks ago. But like Shilpa, when the news of their relationship broke six months ago, Raj had denied it, stating they were “just friends”.

Raj’s former wife Kavita had accused Shilpa of breaking her marriage by having an affair with Raj. But the other version is that Shilpa came to know Raj four months after his wife had parted with him. Now the couple is seriously dating and getting to know each other better. Shilpa brought in the New Year with her family and Raj in Las Vegas.

Akshay Kumar with action style in upcoming film ‘Chandni Chowk To China’

Akshay Kumar is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood Film Industry. He is known as Khiladi Kumar in Film Industry. Now he is coming with amazing stunts in his upcoming film ‘Chandni Chowk To China’.

The makers of the film have taken the services of Action master Dee Dee Ku in the film. Dee Dee has choreographed many films like Fist of Fury, Iron Monkey, Romeo Must Die and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. The choreographer gave training to both Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. There are some superb stunts done by both Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar.

Akshay Kumar said, “I met him first time in studio when we were doing song sequences and he had some wire work to do. I asked him can you jump from there with all the wires and he said yes. I asked him if he had done it before and he said no, it is the first time.”

The choreographer Dee Dee stated, “Akshay Kumar is powerful and very serious for his actions. He strives very hard to make his stunts better.

Celina Jaitley keeping the title of Sexy!

Ask Celina Jaitley may wear some great outfits when she is out, but at home comfort matters the most to the lady. “People seem to think I’m sexy. Asin new Line Of Cars

Though she is only one film old in the film industry but Asin knows the art of bagging the news and dragging the media towards! She has been in news since the day one and this time around she is on the headlines again with the news that her convoy includes two cars, which have Kerela number plates. One is for her personal use and that is Toyota Camry. And the other is for her hairdresser, make-up man and assistants. Two other cars were also spotted, which carry Mumbai numbers and they have her bodyguards on board. Wow…looks great…! When asked her, she confirms the news saying, “Calling it a convoy would be an overstatement. But yes, I have a car in which I travel with my dad who also manages me. In another car I have my hair dresser, make-up man and other assistants. They go with me wherever I go. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, so I like them being around and overseeing things for me.” As for the other two cars spotted? “I think you saw some other cars when I was travelling for Ghajini’s promotions…I didn’t get them (whatever you say Asin…but what media spotted is right).”

Shahrukh & Kareena - Dancing High In ‘Billo Barber’

After the failure of their first film Asoka, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor are back and with a bang. The year 2009 has the much-awaited Billu Barber set for release and the sizzling hit song ‘Marjanni’. King Khan tells us a little about the tracks.

"All the songs have been made in the same way as one would expect in a Hindi movie, so the song ‘Marjanni’ is done with lots of dancers and then shouts of ‘Marjaani’ which is a bit Punjabi and Sufi-ish, if I might say so but has more of a Punjabi beat to it."The album has a fun mix of songs that help take the movie out of the small town to a different world and brings it back. So there are these spikes in the film and I think they happen mainly because of the songs." Shah Rukh added
