Ranbir n Depika to Star in Sarkar 3

Grapevine is abuzz that the third movie in the Sarkar series will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone!

Though Amitabh Bachchan may have expressed his reservation about working in the third Sarkar movie, Ram Gopal Varma never ruled out yet another sequel.

In fact, the news of Sarkar 3 was doing rounds since the day Sarkar Raj released!

It was apparent from the open ending that Varma gave to the film.

The scene in which Amitabh tells his wife to call Chickoo - who is Kay Kay Menon’s son - to come back to India, indicated that the director wanted to continue the story in the next movie.

If the rumors are to be believed, Ranbir is going to play the grown-up Chickoo who returns to India and Deepika will portray his love interest on screen.

Ranbir and Deepika were last seen together in Bachne Ae Haseeno and filmmakers love to cash in on the off-screen chemistry of the stars.

The speculation was also rife that Jaya Bachchan might play a significant role.

Whatever the news or speculation, Sarkar 3 would be soul-less without Amitabh Bachchan. So, Amitabh and (probably) Aishwarya Rai will be there for the sequel.

Kareena Kapoor on a look out for wedding gown

Here comes her best friend’s wedding and Kareena Kapoor is all set for it. And why not? We heard Bebo will be Ammu’s bridesmaid. Now all gearing up for Amrita Arora’s marriage, Kareena is trying to take out time from her tight schedule to help bride.

It is believed that Kareena made rounds at the best stores and checked out with the B- town fashion designers to design wedding gown. Finally the responsibility has been given to fashion designer Ashley Rebello, who is in Paris to get the fabric needed to design the bridal gown.

According to a close friend of Amrita’s church wedding will happen on 4th, Nikaah on 6th and a Mehendi ceremony on 5th. It is believed that Salman’s sister Alvira will be hosting Mehendi Ceremony at Salman’s house. “Though Bebo is extremely busy shooting for her films, she will be with Amrita in all these functions.”

Malaika Arora Khan in an Iten Number

Malaika Arora Khan is coming onscreen with none other than Arjun Rampal for the first time. As an item girl who picks and chooses her projects with utmost care, Malaika has shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor/Nana Patekar, Suneil Shetty and Bobby Deol to name a few. She did come up with quite a few celebrities last year in HEYY BABYY and OM SHANTI OM as well.

Now, after a gap, Malaika has appeared with Arjun Rampal for an item number ‘Chori Chori Dekhe Mujhko’ that has a Turkish setup to it, just like ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ from DIL SE. Put to tune by Chirantan Bhatt and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, this seductive number has Malaika at her seductive best with Arjun for company.

The Busy Bee in the Ad Bizz - Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif is giving sleepless nights to former beauty queens and established actresses. Earlier, she replaced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan by becoming the brand ambassador of Nakshatra.

Now, it is Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, from whom she has snatched the endorsement of a prestigious shampoo brand. Reports say Asin was earlier approached for the campaign but things didn’t work out with the Ghajini star. So, Katrina was roped in.

But most ad filmmakers credit Kat’s professionalism rather than her chiselled looks as the reason why she has emerged as the queen bee in the ad world.

Advertising insiders claim it is the ‘ no hang- ups’ attitude of Katrina that has gone in her favour. Of course, Sushmita’s dipping career graph has also helped Katrina’s cause a lot. Prominent brands have a reason to drop Sushmita, as her career seems to be going downhill by the day and she is also piling on the pounds rather fast.

A source says, “ Sushmita’s brand value has gone down in the recent times. She has not appeared in any film for a long time now. And the news of her directorial debut, Rani Lakshmi Bai, getting shelved also did not help her.” Since advertisers bank on a face which is a winner, Katrina has safely acquired that position.

Katrina is extremely enthusiastic about the shampoo endorsement, which she shot in Mumbai. Sources say she will be given an all- new look for the commercial.

Also, Katrina is set to go de- glam in Prakash Jha’s forthcoming film, Rajneeti. The buzz has it that Kat’s character is inspired from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. However, Jha has denied resemblance to any real- life character. Currently, the actress is shooting the film in Bhopal along with Nana Patekar and Ajay Devgan.

Genelia D’Souza’s Friendship With Imran Khan

Actress Genelia D'Souza has denied all the reports, which hinted that her friendship with “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” co-star Imran Khan was treading a rocky path.

“Imran is a dear friend, there is no misunderstanding between us and we are very good friends. Everything is absolutely fine these are just rumours,” Genelia said.

“It all depends on how you want to be treated and how you carry yourself. People can be very bad to you or very good with you in the industry,” she says. The actress says she is “excited” that her last film did so well and that she likes working with new talents.

“I am working with John Abraham in ‘Hook Ya Crook’ it’s a David Dhawan film, I have ‘It’s my Life’ with Harman Bawejaand ‘Partner’ with Abbas Mustan,” she says about her upcoming films in 2009. Genelia’s “It’s my Life”, which stars Nana Patekar is the remake of her superhit Telugu film “Bommarillu.”

“Partner” directed by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by director duo Abbas Mustan is a multistarrer with actors like Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Tushar Kapoor, Akshay Khanna and Prachi Desai.

The actress says she is quite happy that she made a name for herself in Bollywood even though she did not have a godfather in the industry. “I don’t think it is necessary to have a godfather in the industry. I don’t have a godfather,” says the actress.

Sonam Really wants to Study More

In fact one wish that Sonam still has is to become a college graduate. Reason? After Class XII, she discontinued her studies and started concentrating in films.

“I really wanted to study more, especially language”, says Sonam who will soon be seen in ‘Delhi 6′ this weekend, “I have completed by Class XII and though English and Hindi were my favorite subjects, it’s a pity that I couldn’t pursue them further. I still feel bad that I haven’t done my graduation.”

Talking about her love for reading, she also shares an interesting fact about herself. She is not just fascinated with the English language but also loves studying subjects like History and Geography.

“That’s true”, confirms Sonam, “While I had a soft corner for languages, it wasn’t possible for me to stay away from History and Geography for long. I always enjoyed my stint with studies during school and for me reading was a lot of fun. What also helped me engage in studies was the fact that I didn’t have to do the same things time and over again. I was constantly learning.”

For the moment, it’s her brother Harshvardhan Kapoor who is keeping her abreast about the finer techniques of cinema.

“He is currently studying screen writing and I keep calling him and understanding from him the new things that he is learning. Yes, I get to know some good things of screen writing from him but I would always carry the regret of not being able to study things myself. May be some other day, some other time”, concludes Sonam.

   I like Vidya even though have not seen any of her movie but just by watching Kismet Konnection promos, I have started to like her. She looks nice in the picture but for some reason that does not seem like her body, where are the big hips gone….too much airbrushing has been done there, I think and maybe someone else’s bottom half has been added.
   If that is really her … little bit loss of fat on the face and arms and she is good to go out with Shahid. They have my blessings

In the past, each actress had her personality, but nowadays, every bollywood actress want to imitate others! Sushmita Sen to Star as/in Benazir Bhutto: The Movie

Former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen will be enacting the role of Pakistan’s former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in a biopic to be made by Pakistani filmmakers.

Bhutto was assassinated Dec 27, 2007, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

“Yes, I am keen to play the role. The producers are waiting for a clearance from the Pakistan Peoples Party (Bhutto’s party). Once we get the go-ahead, we will start the movie,” Sushmita had earlier told reporters.

Sushmita is reportedly working hard to get into her character by reading extensively on the life of Bhutto and watching footages on her. She is simultaneously working on her Urdu diction as well.

Co-produced by Pakistani producers Zaid Aziz and Henna Rai of Karachi production firm Vox Vision and Leicester-based Sum Films respectively, the film will be bilingual - made both in English and Urdu.

Tentatively titled Benazir Bhutto: The Movie, it will be shot at various locations in Pakistan, the US, Britain and Dubai, where Bhutto spent years as a student and later as a political leader in exile.

Apparently, Mahesh Bhatt’s Vishesh Films is also battling out to make a biopic on the leader.

In an exclusive interview with a website, India’s ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani offered us a peek into the making of his 2009 calender.

While the lens-legend shared some exciting tidbits about his experience with the stars, he also unravelled some of the exciting secrets behind the shoot.

Though usually Dabboo covers 24 stars, this year he shot 48 marking the 10th anniversary edition of the calender.

Telling us about the edition, he said, “There’s a change in the format of this year’s calender, it’s double in size. There’s a lot more drama, it’s a little sexier. It offers a lot more variety in terms of angles and techniques used in photography.”

Well isn’t this more than evident looking at this stunning picture of Katrina Kaif sitting on a horse!

Ayesha Takia to get her Breast Size Smaller

Gorgeous Ayesha Takia would soon be losing the assets she has been known for. This Bolly-babe is having a lot of problems due to the boob job which she had done few years ago. After this surgery this gorgeous gal surely gained plus sized breasts but the actress is now thinking of reducing it back to normal.

Sources reveal that due to heavy sized breasts she is having a lot of pain on her shoulders. This is the reason why doctors have advised this diva to go through a surgery and reduce her bust size. The actress may have won best debutant award in 2004 for Tarzan: The Wonder Car, but in her long career of four years it's only 2006 release Dor that her acting talent were been appreciated by both the critics and masses.

We would have to wait and see whether this surgery would bring luck back to her or it would affect the beauty and career of this wonder girl in some other way. Akshay Shuts Katrina's Mouth

Luck By Chance released a fortnight back and got quite some critical acclaim coming its way. Moreover, yet again, Farhan Akhtar was hailed as a true actor material, considering he has passed with flying colors in both Rock On and now Luck By Chance.

I hate make-up
Katrina admits that she does get angry. And this happens when she is getting her make-up done because she doesn’t like to be interrupted. In fact she gets irritated when someone touches her face again and again. Also, her patience level for make-up is not more than 20 minutes! Well, the million dollar question is - ‘Does the pretty woman indeed require any make-up?’

Madhuri - my favorite
When Farhan found Katrina’s smile to be as incredible as Madhuri Dixit, Katrina couldn’t stop blushing at it. Reason? Madhuri happens to be Katrina’s favorite, with other favorites being Sridevi, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.

My first Hindi Film
Any guesses around Katrina’s first Hindi film? Well, to give a hint, today it is considered as a classic even though it was released a few decades back. It starred Rekha in the lead role and what Katrina remembers from the film is just ‘Rekhaji’s face’ (in her own words)!

Akshaye Khanna, my Chess friend
There is an interesting episode that Katrina narrates about her shoot for Race. When Katrina approached Akshaye to talk to him, he used to reply in short sentences (in his characteristic style).

Once, when he was playing chess, Katrina asked him if she could join in too. Soon, it became their routine on the sets during each and every break during the film’s shoot.

Today, in hindsight, she believes that Akshaye was smart enough to shut Katrina by making her play the game. Reason? During the game of chess one can’t talk much and hence it was the best idea that Akshaye applied to keep her quiet!

My food? Rice in milk!
Guess what’s Katrina’s favorite food? Well, it is rice in milk with sugar and cardamom. She likes simple food, so much so that her cook is always wondering about her taste since she prefers bland food with little or no spices.

My brother strongest
While Katrina’s six sisters are very much talked about, not many are aware that she also has an elder brother. An adventurous sort who likes skiing and mountain climbing, he is supposed to be quite tough and protective of his sisters.

On the show, Katrina narrates that when all the siblings go out and have a gala time; her brother sits quietly behind them. However, none of the sisters have to be over protective about him because once they are all around him, no other girl ever approach him!

Amitabh Bachchan who?
Though Katrina Kaif had started her career with Amitabh Bachchan in Boom, she didn’t know who he was. She was very new to the industry at that time and didn’t have any clue about his status in the film fraternity.

When she was offered this role by Kaizad Gustad, everything was very new for her. She was casual as any new comer would be and it was only later did she realize that Mr. Bachchan was indeed a big name.

Farhan, get some better PJs!
The pretty lady does have guts and confidence. In the show, when Farhan was getting carried away with his PJs, Katrina offered help.

She thought that she could help him with good PJs and also probably write better lines for him in the next episode. Oops!

Anil Kapoor’s compliment? Should I talk about it?
Though she is said to be Akshay Kumar’s current favorite when it comes to co-stars, the fact remains that she has worked with Anil Kapoor too in quite a few films. Remember Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Welcome, Race, Yuvvraaj?

No wonder, she enjoys working with him. Someone who has seen her grow with every film of hers, Anil Kapoor has been lavish in complimenting Katrina.

Malaika Arora Khan : Threatening To Leave Arbaaz ?

Arbaaz Khan is all set to start his own production house. He has decided to cast his elder brother’s love interest Katrina Kaif in his first movie. Now who will be disappointed by Arbaaz’s decision of casting Katrina and not them? It’s none other than his beloved better half Malaika Arora Khan. Everyone is aware of the fact that Malaika doesn’t get along with her brother-in-law’s girlfriend at all. And quite apparently hubby Arbaaz’s decision has disappointed her big time.

According to sources, “Malaika was supposed to be the lead heroine in Arbaaz’s first film as producer. But with the recent success achieved by Katrina, Arbaaz has decided that it would be a better option for him to take Katrina Kaif for the lead role.”

The sources add by saying, “As one would expect this has not gone down well with Malaika who is now threatening to leave him if he does the intended. Malaika does not see Katrina Kaif eye to eye and it is common knowledge that the two girls share cold vibes.”
